A tailored barcoding system built for a railway manufacturing company. The platform enables precise tracking of work time per order, monitors employee labor costs, and provides in-depth analysis of production efficiency.
The company lacked a central tool to monitor employee time spent on specific production orders. Manual methods made it difficult to compute labor costs accurately or identify inefficiencies in the workflow. Managers needed a reliable, automated system to capture time, categorize work modes, and generate analytical insights.
I developed a barcoding-based tracking system where employees scan order codes to start and stop work sessions. The system captures detailed time data, calculates labor costs automatically, and logs production activity in real time. Redis is used for fast caching, MySQL stores structured production records, and Angular provides an intuitive management interface. The backend, built with Node.js and Express, ensures reliable processing of scans and data synchronization. The platform delivers comprehensive analytics, helping managers understand workflow durations, cost distribution, and performance patterns.
